New in v1.8: Linux. PasGuard now protects Linux x86-64 executables built by Free Pascal or Lazarus — every pass, including string encryption, exactly as on Windows. Both link modes work (the FPC default and PIE), and it was verified by running the protected programs on Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux and Alpine, not by inspecting them. Linux targets need a Professional license or higher; see §2.2 of the manual. PasGuard itself still runs on Windows — what it protects does not have to.

The tool’s own bitness is independent of your target: both builds protect Win32, Win64 and Linux x86-64 Delphi and Lazarus executables. Choose whichever you prefer to run — the 32-bit build is the simplest, most universal pick.

Verifying your download

Both builds are code-signed and timestamped. Right-click the file, Properties › Digital Signatures, and check that it reads Apptimate B.V., issued by Sectigo Public Code Signing CA R36. That is the check that matters: it survives a compromised web server, which a hash published on that same server does not.

The SHA-256 of each signed file, for build pipelines and for anyone who prefers to compare bytes:

What the trial does. The Demo build runs symbol obfuscation and the full analysis on your real executable so you can confirm it works end-to-end. Output is watermarked and the paid passes — string encryption, license anti-tamper and code signing — are disabled until you activate a license. Drop a license.dat next to the .exe to unlock everything.

Object Pascal only. PasGuard protects executables built with Embarcadero Delphi (7–13) or Free Pascal / Lazarus (3.2+). It does not support .NET, C/C++ or other compilers — its obfuscation relies on Object Pascal’s runtime metadata (VMT, RTTI, form resources). PasGuard identifies the compiler itself and refuses what it cannot place rather than damaging it.

Lazarus limits: Windows PE and Linux x86-64 ELF targets (no macOS, ARM or 32-bit Linux), and forms must be stored as resources ({$R *.lfm}) — legacy .lrs projects are detected and refused. Linux targets need a Professional license or higher; analysis works on any license, including none.
